DEXA Body Composition Scanning at the Liverpool Wellbeing Festival

St Paul's Square, Liverpool, L3 9RY, L3 9RY

Longevity is not about how you look. It is about what is happening beneath the surface. A DEXA scan from TELOMYX, at the Liverpool Wellbeing Festival hosted by The Wellbeing Doctors, gives you a clear, clinical-grade picture of the three things that most shape how well and how long you live: muscle, bone, and the visceral fat wrapped around your organs.

These are the markers that quietly decide your healthspan. Strong, well-distributed muscle keeps you mobile, metabolically healthy and independent as the years add up. Dense bones protect you from the fractures that so often derail later life. And visceral fat, the hidden kind you cannot see or pinch, is one of the earliest warning signs for heart and metabolic disease. A DEXA scan measures all three with precision, so you can invest in your health from real data, not guesswork.

One day only: Thursday 2 July 2026, appointments from 11:15 to 14:45. Slots are limited and by advance booking only, so reserve yours now.

Frequently asked questions

When and where is this?

This is a one-day event at the Liverpool Wellbeing Festival in St Paul's Square, Liverpool (L3 9RY) on Thursday 2 July 2026. Scanning takes place in the TELOMYX mobile clinic at our stand on the square, with appointments from 11:15 to 14:45. Slots are limited and by advance booking only.

How do I book?

Booking is online and in advance only, so reserve your slot on this page before the day. Pick a time and complete checkout. You will receive a confirmation email with full instructions and a short medical questionnaire to complete before you arrive.

Do I need a referral for a DEXA scan?

You do not need a GP appointment. A DEXA scan involves a small dose of radiation, so it requires a referral, which TELOMYX arranges in-house at no extra cost as part of your booking. The short questionnaire you complete after booking covers the safety screen.

How long does the appointment take?

Your appointment is 30 minutes. The scan itself is quick; the rest is a short consultation where we discuss your goals and how to get the most from your results.

When will I get my results?

You will receive your full digital report by email within 2 to 3 working days, with personalised recommendations based on your goals and tailored to any focus areas that arise from your scan.

How should I prepare?

You will receive full pre-test guidelines by email when you book. In short: wear light clothing with no metal, come fasted (no food on the day, water is fine) and avoid exercise beforehand, as both food and training can affect your readings.
